AFG Furniture Policy
General

  1. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and any requests we deem unreasonable. 
  2. It is part of the dealer’s function to service the product, so customers should contact their dealers before contacting us.
  3. We do not profess to make perfect furniture.

Pricing

  1. Prices are subject to change without notice.
  2. Specially priced merchandise is no longer eligible for further discounts.
  3. Specially priced merchandise must be purchased in bulk with a minimum of 500 lbs subject to quantity on hand.

Method of Payment

  1. The first 6 purchases must be paid in cash, credit card, check, or money order upon pick-up.  Should you choose to wire transfer, the payment must be submitted prior to pickup – there will be no exceptions.  All subsequent purchases can be paid for with a company check that is in accordance with the account information AFG has on file.  In the event that the amount submitted with a check is an overpayment, the difference will be credited to the company’s account. 
  2. Wire Transfer can be used to pay invoices.  Should you choose to use this method, please contact Account Receivables.
  3. Credit – please check with your sales representative.

Late Fees and Collection Fees

  1. Past due invoices will be subject to a $50 late fee and a 1.5% interest per month, if payment is still not submitted.
  2. Should the account go into collection, dealers will be responsible for all collecting fees.

Merchandise Pick-Up

  1. AFG must be notified of a pick-up 24 hours in advance so that orders can be pre-pulled.  Once orders have been placed, AFG only holds merchandise for 3 days maximum.

Shipping

  1. AFG ships merchandise via carrier or your choice or one with which we have an agreement. 
  2. AFG Furniture’s responsibility for lost or damaged merchandise during transit ceases upon delivery of said merchandise in its original condition to the transportation company.  Customers must remember to inspect the shipment upon receipt and in the event of damage, note it on the bill of landing. DO NOT open the package if it is damaged.
  3. Responsibility for any shortage lies with the consignee.  Bill of Landing must be accordingly noted and claimed.

Defective Merchandise

  1. Customer must inspect each part of the merchandise prior to assembly to check for damage. Once the customer has assembled the merchandise, we will not accept any claims.
  2. Claims for defective merchandise or missing parts must be made within 30 days from the date listed on the invoice. NOTE: DAMAGED CLAIMS should be made with the transportation company upon 7 days of reciving merchandis damage.
  3. AFG Furniture has no control over the conditions that the merchandise is subjected to once it leaves our facilities. We cannot give unequivocal guarantees for our product. However, we inspect every single one of our products thoroughly prior to shipping it out, so we guarantee optimal condition upon departure.

Color Match

  1. There are several factors that may contribute to color variations.  Depending on the country where the product was manufactured or even the availability of wood in certain countries, there may be a natural distinctive shade that varies from product to product.  While distinction is often indistinguishable, once a while there may be obvious differences.  With this in mind, AFG Furniture forbids any returns on the basis of color matching problems.

Conditions of Sales

  1. Merchandise that is refused upon delivery will be returned to AFG Furniture and the total freight charges (to and from dealer) will be billed to the dealer.
  2. Details regarding our warranty are printed on the instruction sheets of each of our products

Returns and Allowances

  1. No credit will be given for goods returned to the warehouse without the authorization of AFG Furniture.
  2. Customer must provide pictures of the damaged parts in order to file a claim.
  3. Returns or exchanges will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, without fair reason, with the exception that the fee is waived by an authorized AFG Furniture representative.

Additional Information

  1. If customers report damage and file a claim within 7 days, AFG Furniture will ship free parts.  If damage is reported past 7 days but within 30 days, AFG Furniture will charge for freight but still ship free parts.
  2. Any disputes shall be handled accordingly. In the event of litigation, parties shall convene in a court located in Los Angeles County, California.
